Do you just want to skip all the fuss and costs of a wedding and just get married? Then my “Legals Only Ceremony” might be just what you need.

Sometimes it might just be that you want to sign the documents and not exchange any vows. (Although there is a small amount of legal wording that must be said to make your marriage legal). Or you may want to still have an intimate ceremony in the presence of a couple of witnesses and exchange vows and wedding rings. It’s completely up to you.

Perhaps you suffer from anxiety and the mere idea of standing infront of guests is the reason you haven’t yet sealed the deal. Don’t feed into the pressure of family and friends for a big wedding if a legal marriage ceremony is all you want.

My “Legals Only Ceremony” is flexible in that you can just sign the papers in my office or alternatively choose another location (please note that extra costs are associated fot travel). My Legals Only Ceremony is priced from $350 therefore a very affordable option if you are budget conscious. Are you just wanting to have a legal marriage ceremony without all the fuss? Then my “Legals Only Ceremony” is just what you are after. All that is required is an initial meeting with me to lodge the Notice of Intended Marriage and then you are able to be married anytime from one month on. If your busy schedule doesn’t allow for you to meet with me beforehand, I can guide you in the process to fill out your Notice and have it witnessed by the relevant authorities and then sent to me. On the day of the actual ceremony, there is a few words that you will need to repeat before myself and two witnesses, sign the documents and then just like that…..you are married. Destination Weddings

More and more couples are choosing overseas destination weddings and a wedding in Bali is very popular. However, if you want an Indonesian marriage ceremony you need to abide by their jaws and customs which involves you and your partner are of the same religion and you must have both a religious and civil ceremony at the same location and on the same day. Sound a bit confusing and not so easy to do? That’s where I come in. As a Commonwealth Registered Celebrant in Australia there are other options to fulfilling your dream of a wedding in Bali.

1. I perform a legal ceremony here in Australia before you leave and therefore it will be registered in Australia
2. I perform a legal ceremony when you return from your Balinese wedding and therefore it will be registered in Australia
3. You take me along and I can perform the wedding in Bali (so it feels like the real deal) and carry out the legal ceremony before we leave or after our return.

Often couples ask me how they should start the wedding planning after they get engaged. The following list is what I suggest as the most important things to first organise:

* Work out your budget
* Pick the wedding party

* And most importantly book your Celebrant (me of course)

Changing your surname after marriage can seem overwhelming at first. There is not a magical form that you fill out once to change your surname. You are required to show your Standard Certificate issued from Births, Deaths and Marriages and change your name at each individual institution. Below is a handy check list on all the places you may need to consider when changing your name.

Drivers License – Learners Permit – Boat Licence. — Insurance car/house/contents/medical Amenity bills – Water, Gas, Electricity — Passport – Airline tickets Australian Tax Office – ABN & Accountants — Electoral Roll Wills – Trust accounts — Your workplace – HR Department Superannuation – Roll Over funds — Mobile phone account’s.
